How to Use
- Apply a small amount of Wax Wash to a lint-free cloth (never directly onto the record).
- Wipe gently along the grooves in a circular motion, following the record's spin direction.
- Buff dry with the second cloth before playing.
- For heavily soiled or second-hand records, repeat with a clean section of cloth.
Is Wax Wash safe for all vinyl records?
Yes. Wax Wash is formulated specifically for vinyl and is safe to use on both new and second-hand records, including coloured and picture discs.
Do I need to clean a brand-new record before playing it?
Yes — new records can carry mold release residue (montan wax) from the pressing process, which adds surface noise on first play even though the record has never been used. A quick clean with Wax Wash before the first spin removes this.

What's the difference between Wax Wash and isopropyl alcohol or household cleaners?
