Our premium lint-free cloths are designed specifically for cleaning vinyl records — soft enough to protect the groove, absorbent enough to leave a streak-free finish, and built to be reused wash after wash. Why Lint-Free Matters
Standard microfibre cloths can leave fibres and micro-scratches behind on a record's surface. A proper lint-free cloth avoids both, which matters more the closer you look — under a stylus, even small residue makes an audible difference.
How to Use
- Apply a small amount of Wax Wash to a lint-free cloth (never directly onto the record).
- Wipe gently along the grooves in a circular motion, following the record's spin direction.
- Buff dry with the second cloth before playing.
- For heavily soiled or second-hand records, repeat with a clean section of cloth.
Is Wax Wash safe for all vinyl records?
Yes. Wax Wash is formulated specifically for vinyl and is safe to use on both new and second-hand records, including coloured and picture discs.
Do I need to clean a brand-new record before playing it?
Yes — new records can carry mold release residue (montan wax) from the pressing process, which adds surface noise on first play even though the record has never been used. A quick clean with Wax Wash before the first spin removes this.

A 250ml bottle typically covers 30-40 LP 12 inch vinyl records depending on how much product you use per record.
What's the difference between Wax Wash and isopropyl alcohol or household cleaners?
